The Hollywood Reporter reports that Sandra Bullock has stepped away from the Universal Pictures project "Prime" due to concerns regarding rookie writer-director Ben Younger's script. The studio has already begun eyeing Uma Thurman as the likely choice to replace Bullock.

The film co-stars Bryan Greenberg and Mery Streep and tells the story of a 22-year-old painter (Greenberg) who falls in love with a 37-year-old exec from the Upper East Side in New York City. Streep plays the mother of the painter, who is the exec's therapist, and Thurman would play the 37-year-old exec.
