Johnny Knoxville, Seann William Scott in "Dukes of Hazzard"

The Hollywood Reporter announces that Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott have been cast as Luke and Bo Duke, respectively, in Warner Bros.' "Dukes of Hazzard" movie. The film will be an adaptation of the 1980s TV series. Jessica Simpson and Elisha Cuthbert are current frontrunners for the role of Daisy Duke. Jay Chandrasekhar (Broken Lizard's "Club Dread") will direct the film.

The series ran on CBS from 1979 to 1985 and followed the weekly adventures of southern cousins Bo and Luke. They, along with their cousin Daisy and Uncle Jesse, staged running battles with the corrupt authorities, Boss Hogg and Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane.
