David Beckham to score "Goal!"

Reuters reports that soccer star David Beckham will be flexing his sporting skills for the big screen. One of the world's biggest soccer stars, Beckham will star in "Goal!" for director Danny Cannon. The film will be the first in three of a trilogy.

Budgeted at $100 million, the film tells the story of a player from Los Angeles who signs for British club Newcastle United. Beckham will be joined in the films by real-life teammates Zinedine Zidane and Raul.
