The Hollywood Reporter reports that Susan Sarandon will co-star with Seann William Scott and Billy Bob Thorton in New Line's "The Woodcock." The comedy will be directed by Craig Gillespie.

The film will tell the story of a young man (Scott) who returns to his hometown to stop his mother (Sarandon) from marrying his old high school gym teacher, who made life a living hell for him and many of his classmates. Thornton will play the gym teacher.
