Ice Cube in "Mr. Blandings" remake

Variety reports that Ice Cube will star in a remake of the 1948 Cary Grant film, "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House." Steve Carr ("Next Friday") will direct the contemporary version.

The original comedy starred Grant and Myrna Loy as a Manhattan couple who leaves their apartment in New York City for a home in the suburbs. It turns out though that renovating their dream home might not be as easy as they think...
