Variety reports that rapper/actor Mos Def ("The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy") will star in "16 Blocks" with Bruce Willis. Richard Donner will helm the picture, which is based on a pitch by Richard Wenk. The film tells the story of a cold, troubled NYPD office (Willis) who is forced to take an optimistic, but unlucky, prisoner 16 blocks to the 100 Centre Street station in Manhattan. Trouble is that nobody wants them to make it there.
