Chow Yun-Fat in "Pirates of the Caribbean 3"

Variety reports that Chow Yun-Fat will be joining the cast of "Pirates of the Caribbean 3," which is currently shooting back-to-back along with "Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest."

Chow will play Captain Sao Feng, a pirate who plays a major role in the third film.

Director Gore Verbinski is once again in the director's chair, along with Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, and Orlando Bloom reprising their roles from the first film. "Pirates 2" is set for release the summer of 2006, while "Pirates 3" is expected to come out the summer of 2007.
