Christian Bale signs up for "Rescue Dawn"

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Christian Bale and Steve Zahn will star in "Rescue Dawn." This action drama is based on Werner Herzog's acclaimed 1997 documentary, "Little Dieter Needs to Fly." Herzog will direct the project.

The project is slated to begin shooting in Thailand in mid-August.
