Amber Tamblyn to join "The Grudge 2"

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Amber Tamblyn will headline "The Grudge 2" for Sony/Columbia Pictures and Ghost House Pictures. Director Takashi Shimizu, writer Stephen Susco and producers Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Taka Ichise will be returning for the sequel.

She joins Arielle Kebbel and Teresa Palmer, who will both be playing American students in Tokyo. Tamblyn will play the younger sister of Sarah Michelle Gellar's character in the first film. Gellar will cameo in "The Grudge 2," presumably in the beginning to past on the curse to a group of new characters.
