John Cusack to star in Stephen King's "1408"

Variety reports that John Cusack will star in a film adaptation of the Stephen King short story, "1408." The script was adapted for the big screen by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski.

The original story told of a man who is a disbeliever of paranormal experiences, but finds his theories challenged when he checks into room 1408 at the Dolphin Hotel.

Mikael Hafstrom ("Derailed") will be directing the movie for Dimension Films. The target shoot date is summer this year.
