Benicio Del Toro emerging as "The Wolf Man"

Variety reports that Universal Pictures will get Benicio Del Toro to star in a remake of the classic horror film, "The Wolf Man." Andrew Kevin Walker ("Se7en") is drafting the screenplay.

The remake will be set in Victorian England and will have Del Toro star as a man who returns from America to his homeland. He gets bitten by a werewolf and finds that he turns into one whenever the moon is full.

The movie is targeted to begin shooting early 2007.
