Al Pacino joins "Ocean's 13"

Variety reports that Al Pacino will join the cast of "Ocean's 13" for Steven Soderbergh and Warner Bros. Pictures. Brian Koppelman and David Levien ("Roudners") are penning the screenplay.

He joins the all-star team of George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, Don Cheadle and Bernie Mac, along with newcomer Ellen Barkin.

The studio is targeting a July 21 start date for a release June 8, 2007.

Pacino will play the role of an owner of a high profile casino and hotel in Las Vegas. Details of the story remain unknown.
