Variety reports that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are interested in starring in "Atlas Shrugged," a movie based on the reknowned novel by Ayn Rand. Both are self-declared fans of the novel and are rumored to be interested in the parts of Dagny Taggart and John Galt.

Written in 1957, the book is set in an imaginary America in a communist world and tells of the economic collapse of the U.S.

Lionsgate owns the worldwide distribution rights to the project.
