Vin Diesel finds "Black Water Transit"

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Vin Diesel has signed on to star in the action thriller "Black Water Transit," which will be directed by Samuel Bayer. Bayer has directed music videos in the past, such as Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." 

The story follows a man who makes a deal to help the police catch a contract killer in order to get his own son out of jail. The capture however goes fatally wrong with the man forced on the run for apparently killing four cops.

Co-starring Kevin Bacon, James Franco, and Sophie Okonedo ("Hotel Rwanda"), the indie film is based on the novel by Carsten Stroud and will begin shooting in July in Chicago.
