Variety reports that Matthew McConaughey is on the verge of signing on for two projects for New Line Cinema. The first would be "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" and would have McConaughey playing a bachelor who goes to his younger brother's wedding and gets visited by the ghosts of his past girlfriends. Scott Moore and John Lucas penned the screenplay. The studio hopes to get the film in theaters for the holiday season of 2007. The second film is titled "The Grackle," a project in which his j.k livin production company will produce. In the project, McConaughey would play a barroom fighter in New Orleans who charges $250 to settle disputes for people using aggressive tactics who can't afford a lawyer.
