Christian Bale counts "3:10 to Yuma"

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Christian Bale will join Russell Crowe in "3:10 to Yuma," a remake of the 1957 Glenn Ford picture.

The original western told of a small-time rancher named Dan Evans who captures the outlaw Ben Wade. Evans transports Wade on a train to Yuma where Wade is awaiting trial and a battle of wits ensues.

James Mangold ("Walk the Line") will direct the feature. Discussions are underway with Sony/Columbia Pictures about distributing the movie.
