Sony moves on "The Pink Panther 2"

The Hollywood Reporter reports that MGM and Sony Pictures are putting the pieces together for a sequel to "The Pink Panther" remake, which starred Steve Martin and Kevin Kline.

The plot for the "Panther" sequel is being kept under wraps, though it has been described as high concept. Robert Simonds returns as the producer, while Steve Martin is on board to reprise his role as Inspector Jacques Clouseau.

Newcomers Scott Neustadter and Michael M. Weber will be drafting the screenplay.
