Ah yes. Cinema Confidential is entering a new era.
Since going online in 1997, this movie site has gone through many looks, phases and changes, but we pretty much have been keeping the way the site looks and feels consistent since August 2000, when we moved from an archaic format to the current "online magazine" feel.
But for almost a year now, we've been looking to do something new, fresh and interesting and so today, we make our next step:
We're going to become a blog.
Turning the site into a blog will help us get back to what the site was all about back in 1990s: talking about movies and everything we love about them. We hope to talk about not only upcoming movies now, but everything movie-related. That means box office observations, fun movie parodies, cool movie websites, and so on. There will be opinions, editorials and cool findings...anything that's on our minds.
In addition to more personality to the site, you'll also be able to get all the information you want in now a more easy to read format that categorizes all of our stories by relevant keywords or categories. You could click on a "Spider-Man 3" link and instantly find all of our postings on the movie. Or, if you're a sci-fi fan, find all of our stories that are related to sci-fi films. As the months go by, this new way to search information on CineCon will become a bit more clear.
We hope you'll come to like this new format. It will be a change of pace for some but in the long run, we believe that making this move is well worth it. We are testing the current format for a period of a couple of weeks as we tinker and shape the design/format so we ask that you bear with us.
Stay tuned folks. It'll be fun.
(Many thanks to Chris W. and Andy M. for spearheading this effort).
