Variety reports that the '80s children television series "Fraggle Rock" is being revived for the big screen for a live-action musical. "Fraggle Rock" debuted in 1983 and ran for five seasons on HBO.

The Jim Henson Co. and the Weinstein Co. are teaming up to distribute the film. Cory Edwards ("Hoodwinked!") will write and direct the eventual picture. The movie will take the main characters - Gogo, Wembley, Mokey, Boober and Red - outside of their home in Fraggle Rock, where they interact with humans, which they think are aliens.
