The Hollywood Reporter reports that the cast of the "Fame" remake has been assembled. Kristy Flores, Paul Lacono, Paul McGill, Naturi Naughton, Kay Panabaker, Kherington Payne, Collins Pennie, Walter Perez and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle have joined the cast while Thomas Dekker (John Connor in "The Sarah Connor Chronicles") is in final talks to join one of the last remaining starring roles.
The script was written by Allison Burnett and Aline Brosh McKenna and much like the original, the story will "track the failures and fortunes of super-ambitious young performers and their teachers as they navigate a school year at the prestigious High School for the Performing Arts in New York."
The film is expected to begin lensing in late November to make its Sept. 25 release date.
