Variety reports that Denzel Washington is looking to star in the drama "Unstoppable" in which he would reteam with director Tony Scott. 20th Century Fox is handling distribution of the project.

Washington will play an engineer who jumps in a train with a young conductor to chase a runaway train carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals.

Mark Bomback penned the screenplay which is loosely based on a real event.
