Zac Efron will be starring in an untitled thriller for Mandate Pictures, reports Variety.

The story is being kept under tight wraps but the script will be written by Leslie Dixon. Efron will co-exec produce with Mandate's Nathan Kahane. Dixon also wrote the script for "Hairspray," which starred Efron as well.
