Alex Zamm has come on board to direct a live-action/animated film based on the "Hong Kong Phooey" cartoon series.

According to Variety, Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove will be producing along with Brett Ratner and Jay Stern.

The 1970s cartoon series told of a police station janitor who is transformed into a dog with fighting abilities.
