Russell Crowe will star in "The Next Three Days," an English adaptation of the French film "Pour Elle." Paul Haggis will be directing off his own script. Lionsgate will distribute the film.

Variety reports that Crowe will play a teacher whose wife is arrested and convicted of a murder for a murder she did not commit. The man then comes up with a desperate plan to free her.
