Screen Gems has acquired the script "The Black Phantom," a spec script written by Dave Lease and Megan Hinds. Doug Aarniokoski will be making his big screen debut.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that the picture will be produced by Will Packer.

The trade reports that the project will tell the story about "a double-crossed Caucasian mob hitman turns for help to an unlikely source: the title character, an African-American hitman who was hired to kill him."
